cat saturday. oh the places Cleo and Dash sleep!

Cleo and Dash have their own typical spots that they like to sleep in. Even though there's only a couple random places they've been found, I didn't want have them feel left out!

Cleo often worms her way under blankets. You won't know she's there until she pokes her head out.

I've caught her sleeping on the arm rest with all four legs draped along the sides.

I've also found her sleeping squished under the coffee table with her legs shooting straight out behind her.

Or next to random objects (she was sleeping before I looks this picture).

Dash really likes to sleep on the cat couch I bought for them. Especially when it's in the sun.

The strangest place I've found Dash sleeping is laying directly on my pillow. No parts on the bed.

Since I've shown all the places that Coconut likes sleeping, it wouldn't be fair to leave Waldo out. True to his name Waldo has slept in his own fair share of strange locations as well. It was more so when he was a kitten but they were still odd as can be.

Such as in someones hands.

 Or on top of Dash.

 Or on my back.

Or on someone's knee.

Or on the very edge of a pillow.

My cats love to sleep. It's the main thing they do! Over the years I've noticed all the different and strange places that I can find them catching some z's. I thought I've seen it all yet somehow they'll still find spots that surprise me. For me many of the locations look as though it would be impossible to be comfortable sleeping. Yet there they are! Looking comfortable as can be!

This post may be more heavily Coconut based only because he's the one who finds the most interesting and unique places to sleep.

Such as on top of a full coffee table.

Or on my bedside table.

Or half off a chaise lounge.

Or in a box that he doesn't fit in.

Or around a corner.

Most days I find Coconut laying in the bathtub sleeping. Since he's so fluffy I notice him panting often, trying to keep cool. I'm going to guess that's why he likes the bathtub so much. He likes sleeping in the sink and shower too for, I'm guessing, the same reasons.

A funny Coconut story: If I'm not expecting him to be in the shower/bath late at night, I'll sit down to use the toilet and he'll make a little chirp sound as a greeting. I'll jump right off the seat I'm so startled!

cat saturday. wake up calls

My cats come to greet me every morning. Sometimes they're already in the room. Most times Cleo is sleeping somewhere near my feet, on the floor next to my bed, or laying long beside me.

Coconut can usually tell that I'm awake before I know it myself. I'll hear him let out a good morning chirp next to my face before he starts purring so loudly he's vibrating my pillow. After hearing the purring Waldo comes sprinting into the room with a little squeak. He'll jump on the bed and lay near me to make sure he's not missing out on any attention.

After a few minutes Dash will slowly walk in. He'll sit and watch what everyone is up to. If I let my hand fall off the bed towards the floor he'll quickly walk over and rub his head into my hand. Since he's not a fan of blankets he doesn't often jump onto my bed. If I move the blankets to the side and he can see that he won't step on it he may jump up. He'll lay down either near my head or my feet depending on the blanket situation.
